Fiona O’Reilly

Lecturer of Professional Services

Fiona has been part of the Etc. since 2022, working closely with apprentices, employer partners, and stakeholders to strengthen management and leadership capability across a range of sectors. She delivers and manages Level 3 and Level 5 apprenticeship programmes, supporting learners from onboarding through to End Point Assessment. With a strong focus on structured, learner-centred delivery, she ensures that programmes are both compliant and genuinely impactful within the workplace.

With extensive experience in adult education and apprenticeship provision, Fiona specialises in management and leadership development aligned to CMI standards. Her expertise spans curriculum design, assessment guidance, KSB mapping, and EPA preparation. She works across local authority and industry cohorts, embedding organisational context into teaching and tailoring to each specific organisation so that learners can apply theory directly to their day-to-day roles.

Fiona designs schemes of work, session plans, and structured learning resources that support consistent quality across programmes. She works closely with employers to track progress, monitor off-the-job learning, and ensure that apprenticeship standards are fully evidenced. Alongside delivery, she contributes to internal quality processes through the development of structured marking systems and standard operating procedures that promote fairness, clarity, and sustainability.

She holds a Level 5 in Professional Coaching and is increasingly involved in coaching apprenticeship delivery, bringing a reflective and developmental approach to leadership learning. Fiona particularly enjoys facilitating discussion-based sessions where learners are encouraged to think critically, build confidence, and recognise their own capability.

Outside of work, Fiona enjoys creative planning projects, reading psychological thrillers, and spending time with her family. She has a long-standing love of strategic games, particularly backgammon, and values clarity, kindness, and continuous improvement in both her professional and personal life.
