Entry requirements
There are no formal academic requirements; however, learners should:

  • Be aged 18 or over
  • Be working in, or aspiring to, a management or project-based role
  • Have some experience of managing tasks, projects, or teams (desirable)
  • Have a good standard of written and spoken English
  • Be able to complete work-based assignments

Course content
This qualification focuses on the practical skills needed to successfully plan, manage and deliver projects.

Learners will complete two mandatory units:

Managing Projects to Achieve Results

  • Understanding the project lifecycle
  • Planning and managing time, cost, and resources
  • Identifying and managing risks and stakeholders
  • Monitoring progress and ensuring successful delivery

Conducting a Management Project

  • Applying project management knowledge in a real work-based project
  • Researching, planning, and delivering a project
  • Evaluating outcomes and demonstrating impact and improvement

After completing this qualification, learners can progress to:

  • More advanced project or operational roles such as:
    • Project Manager
    • Operations Manager
    • Department Manager
  • Further professional development, including:
    • CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership
