Course: Chartered Legal Executive Litigator and Advocate Level 7

Employing a group of apprentices, including those at entry level, the firm utilises the apprenticeship levy to offer new opportunities and to ensure that members of their existing team are given the opportunity to build on their skill sets.
We recently met Kelly, a Senior Legal Assistant in the Child Protection Team, whose journey reflects the power of this approach.
Kelly was introduced to the Innersummit team through CILEX and discovered the opportunity to study the Chartered Legal Executive Litigator and Advocate Level 7 Apprenticeship remotely, something she hadn’t previously realised was possible.
She shared: “From the first phone call that I had with Victoria (Christie), I just knew this was going to be a great fit for me. Victoria was so welcoming and really took the time to explain the course to me and to reassure me with any concerns I had about studying the apprenticeship remotely and being so far away from the College. Both Victoria and Peter (Rowlands) are exceptional tutors and their lectures and seminars – all delivered online – are really enjoyable and engaging. I feel very lucky.”
Kelly added: “Studying whilst working takes real commitment and dedication. But I have always wanted to qualify as a Childcare Lawyer. I really enjoy my role within the Child Protection Team, but the time came when I knew that I needed to qualify. While my role as a legal assistant is incredibly rewarding, I am limited in my responsibilities.
This qualification will change my life. The ceiling will be lifted which is the dream ending for me as I will be able to run case files completely and advocate in court on behalf of my clients. Invicta Law is a really great place to work, with a supportive network of managers and colleagues. There are always new learning opportunities.”
